Description
The Trane SWT3179 is a pressure switch kit for a number of Trane HVAC units, including furnaces, air handlers and heat pumps. The “8” WC are the predetermined pressure threshold. The switch starts an on/off SPDT electrical signal when air pressure exceeds or hits this limit. Depending on the exact application, servo application may serve to control things such as burners, dAmpers, or safety devices. The Trane SWT3179 is a safety switch that simply helps prevent abnormal pressure situations from damaging equipment. Moreover, it improves system efficiency by assuring the amount of air pressure required to run at peak efficiency.
