The Trane COM10049 Compressor is a robust compressor that is perfect for use in mid-sized business structures. This is not the typical piston compressor you expect to find in most homes; instead, this Trane model uses scroll technology. In the sealed casing two intertwined scrolls act like a rapid pump and compress the refrigerant gas. This design is equivalent to 3-ton (approximately 36,000 BTUH) which is suitable for handling moderate cooling loads in commercial structures. The Trane COM10049 comes with an R-410A refrigerant, which is better for the environment than previous refrigerants.
