Description
The Trane CTR1978 Contactor is a heavy-duty electrical component used in Trane HVAC systems, mainly commercial applications. This 3-pole contactor is a high-tech switch. It receives a low voltage signal usually 24V and uses that to control the flow of high-power electricity up to 10 kW to essential components in the system such as compressors. Efficient control of this power flow protects these components and enables your Trane HVAC system to run smoothly. Built to be able to accommodate a wide variety of operating conditions, this Trane Contactor has a temperature tolerance of 23 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit and runs at both 50Hz and 60Hz. In short, it’s the silent conductor in the background keeping your Trane HVAC system running reliably and efficiently.
