Description
The Rheem-Ruud 47-22862-02 Limit Switch also known as the Rheem-Ruud 47-22862-02 is an essentialsafety device required for HVAC systems to protect the heaters and coolers as well as to optimize the operations of the heating and cooling devices. This limit switch has a maximum voltage capacity of 120/230 VAC thus making it suitable for various uses. It is designed to operate with a closed temperature of 45 degrees Fahrenheit and an open temperature of 280 degrees Fahrenheit thus allowing control of system temperatures. The switch is SPST and is normally closed, and thus when the temperature goes higher than the safety level the circuit is broken. There is an additional safety feature that allows a manual reset after the activation of switch so that there cannot be an automatic reset if the problem is still present since this could cause more problems.
