Description
The Lennox 12L20 590 is a High-Pressure Switch Normally Closed, which is a safety device applied in HVAC systems, including air conditioning units and heat pumps. This switch operates with the help of the pressure of the refrigerant in the system. When the pressure goes high, that is above a safe pressure of 590PSI, the switch breaks the circuit thereby stopping the compressor from further operation to avoid damage or failure. It also prevents HVAC equipment from being damaged by high pressure, for example, compressor failure or refrigerant leakage, which is accomplished by high-pressure situation detection.
