The Sporlan Controls 108626 External Thermal Expansion Valve is manufactured to be used in refrigeration and air conditioning systems using R404A refrigerant. This TXV is essential in increasing the efficiency of system through accurate regulation of the amount of refrigerant to be admitted into the evaporator. This is made possible through the constant evaluation of the evaporator temperature to regulate refrigerant flow. This dynamic control is for better heat transfer and to avoid problems such as liquid slugging or over-superheating. Designed for systems of 1/4 to 1/3 ton, It has a 3/8” x 1/2” ODF connection and a 30” capillary length.
