The York S1-1TVMCB1 Thermal Expansion Valve Kit is a sensitive patented component aimed at enhancing the operations of HVAC systems with the usage of R-22. In my case, it has a 3/4’’ nominal size and the Chatleff connection type to control the refrigerant flow to the evaporator with high precision to improve the effectiveness and reliability of air conditioning and refrigeration systems. The valve controls the amount of vapour refrigerant going to the evaporator depending on its temperature, thus the evaporator works optimally under different load condition.
