Description
The Carrier HK30WA517 is a variable frequency drive that is used to enhance the performance of Carrier HVAC systems especially those that handle large amounts of airflow. While an on/off control or a simple timer switch, a VFD controls the speed of the indoor fan motor through the electrical frequency. It works with single phase 460V power and can support motors up to 11.8 Horsepower thus suitable for large air handlers. VFD enhanced comfort through accurate control of fan speed so that there was proper regulation of temperature, and energy efficiency because of proper regulation of airflow and low noise levels at slow fan speeds.
