Description
The Modine 5H0768440001 Pressure Switch monitors differential air pressure across heat exchangers or filters, producing safety shutdowns when airflow restrictions exceed safe operating limits. This electromechanical part contains a diaphragm that deflects under pressure differential, actuating internal contacts that open or close control circuits. It connects to pressure ports on both sides of monitored components in HVAC systems where inadequate airflow threatens equipment damage or creates hazardous operating conditions. The switch’s calibrated setpoint ensures timely response to blocked filters, collapsed ductwork, or failed blowers before temperatures rise dangerously. Its snap-action contacts provide definitive circuit changes that prevent nuisance cycling.
