Description
The Trane CTR2246 3-pole Motor Starter is used to protect and control three-phase AC motors with a current of up to 80 amps. This is an essential part of many HVAC systems such as chillers, pumps, fans, and air handlers. This starter works by affording protection against overload current, short circuit current, and low voltage to the motor. During overload or any other fault condition, the starter will interrupt the motor circuit and thus protect the motor from being damaged. This increases the efficiency and longevity of the motor to meet the set performances of the HVAC systems.
