Description
The Lochinvar & A.O. Smith 100208563 1/4″ Immersion Sensor Stat is installed in boilers and water heaters. A safety thermostat is a control device that can control or sense the temperatures of water that is being heated. This sensor is used for immersion and it is put in water to measure temperature appropriately. It has a bimetallic strip which changes its position when heated or cooled. When the water is hot enough, the bimetallic strip bends and turns on or off a switch that regulates the heater. This helps control the temperature with efficiency and safety thus eliminating instances where it becomes hot and dangerous.
