The Carrier KH43LS091 Filter Drier is a part used in HVAC systems. It plays the role of a protection system, which actually eliminates the presence of moisture and contaminants in the refrigerant passing through the system. This filtering action helps in avoiding build up of dangerous materials such as acids and sluge which are dangerous to both the compressor and other key parts. The filter drier contributes to the improvement of the system efficiency, prolongation of equipment’s life cycle, and the overall performance. It uses a desiccant core normally made from activated alumina or silica gel to absorb the moisture.
