The Watts F382456 3/4” Pressure Relief Valve 75 PSI 740-075-FS is a safety part used in hot water space heating boilers. This Pressure Relief Valve is intended to open and let off pressure in the boiler and can cause harm to the boiler and other parts if the pressure becomes too high. It comes with a size of 3/4” and a pressure level of 75 psi and is designed for use with boilers that operate under this pressure level. The valve opens whenever the pressure of the boiler system rises beyond the limit of 75 PSI. As a measure of saving the system from failure, it releases the pressure by letting go of either water or steam.
