Description
The Trane COM13598 is a hermetic scroll compressor suited to residential and air conditioning and refrigeration with R410A refrigerant. This is a 230V, single-phase, scroll-type compressor where the refrigerant vapor is compressed by two spiral shaped rotors one of which is stationary and the other revolves in an orbit. When the orbiting scroll rotates, it confines small volumes of refrigerant and continues to decrease their volume, thus raising the pressure and temperature before expulsion. This efficient compression process is widely used in air conditioning, heat pumps, and large rooftop packaged systems.
