Description
The Trane EXC1014 Heat exchanger is used to move the heat in the combustion gases with the circulating air in the HVAC systems, of furnace units and heating equipment. It operates by passing the hot flue gases through internal passages as air moves, over the exchanger surface, permitting the transfer of heat but not mixing the two air streams. It is located in the heating area and is linked to the burner and blower units to work in coordination. This assists in maintaining a constant heat production, keeps the temperature constant, and provides a safe separation of combustion gases.
