Description
The Trane EXC0997 Heat Exchanger is applied to different Trane HVAC systems, including air handlers and furnaces. Being a main component it helps in heat exchange between two fluids usually air and refrigerant or combustion gases without intermingling. During heating mode, hot combustion gases move over the heat exchanger and transfer heat to the circulating air which is then circulated in the building. In cooling also, the cycle is as follows, the refrigerant evaporates and pulls heat from the air and dumps it outside. This efficient heat exchange makes the system perform as expected in energy efficiency, temperature stability, and comfort.
