Description
The Rheem-Ruud 611055 Thermal Expansion Valve (TXV) is designed to measure a standard R410A refrigerant into a compatible evaporator coil. Its 2-ton rating provides refrigerant metering for equipment within the specified cooling capacity, while the 3/8″ ODF inlet and 3/8″ ODM outlet provide soldered tubing connections. The thermostatic mechanism adjusts the internal refrigerant passage according to evaporator conditions to control the refrigerant feed rate. The valve install at the evaporator inlet in HVAC systems with the sensing bulb properly positioned on the suction line. Controlled expansion supports proper superheat, efficient heat absorption and protection against excessive liquid refrigerant returning to the compressor.
