Description
The Lennox 22J66 Expansion Valve is a refrigerant metering component used to regulate the amount that flows into the evaporator ensuring proper superheat and balanced operation in HVAC systems. It is designed for 5-ton applications and is designed to adjust flow according to changes in temperature and pressure due to the internal sensing mechanism which changes the valve opening as the load changes. This enables the system to control cooling performance well. It is connected to the liquid line near the evaporator coil and it is installed in the refrigerant piping during setup.
