The Sporlan Controls 165304 1-Ton Thermostatic Expansion Valve is specially manufactured for use with R-404A refrigerant. It is designed with 3/8” x 1/2” Orifice Diameter Fittings for convenience in fixing. TXVs are essential parts of HVAC systems. They control the amount of liquid refrigerant that enters the evaporator through the sensing of the temperature at the outlet. This fine control enhances system performance, protects the compressor from liquid refrigerant which is detrimental to its operation, and provides the desired cooling rate.
