Description
Sporlan Controls 108680 Thermostatic Expansion Valve (TXV) is an essential part of the refrigeration and air conditioning system that is specifically designed for R-500 refrigerant. This external thermal expansion valve has connection sizes of 3/8 x 1/2 ODF and comes with a 30″ external capillary tube. The TXV controls the amount of refrigerant that enters the evaporator coil depending on the temperature and pressure environment and hence correct cooling is produced. In operation, the TXV controls the amount of refrigerant flow based on the amount of superheat at the exit of the evaporator. Since the cooling load is not constant, the sensing bulb feels the temperatures and causes the valve to either allow more or less refrigerant to flow through.
