Description
Sporlan Controls 108755 Thermostatic Expansion Valve (TXV) is an essential part of HVAC systems especially that is designed for R-500 refrigerants. This external thermal expansion valve has connection sizes of 3/8 ” x 1/2” ODF and it has an external capillary length of 30 inches. Its main purpose is to regulate the amount of refrigerant supplied to the evaporator to cool the refrigerant carefully by the amount of refrigerant, depending on the temperature and pressure of the evaporator outlet. The TXV works by measuring the superheat at the evaporator outlet hence it controls the amount of refrigerant that passes through it. This avoids such complications as floodback or over superheating which is detrimental to the compressor.
