The Sporlan Controls 109533 Thermostatic Expansion Valve (TXV) is an essential part for enhancing the efficiency of 1/4-Ton HVAC systems for R-22 refrigerant use. This TXV works as a fine metering system which adjusts the flow of the refrigerant to the evaporator coil. The TXV is able to control the flow of the superheated refrigerant leaving the evaporator through the intelligent sensing of the temperature. This helps to reduce the chances of allowing direct liquid refrigerant into the compressor.
