The Amana-Goodman 0151R00213S Thermal Expansion Valve must be used only in HVAC systems containing R410A refrigerant.t. By expansion and contraction, the valve regulates the amount of coolant allowed to flow into the evaporator coil and the system temperatures and pressures that allow heat exchange. This TXV helps in avoiding overfeeding or underfeeding of coolant thus improving energy consumption and cooling ability in the system. First developed for air conditioning and heat pump systems, the Amana-Goodman TXV enhances comfort by regulating the airflow and preventing the coil from freezing or overheating.
