The Amana-Goodman 0131M01012S ECM Motor is an essential Part electronically commutated with higher efficiency and is developed to enhance the operation of the residential and light commercial HVAC systems. It is used instead of AC motors in air conditioning, heat pumps, furnaces, and air handlers. ACM motors uses an electronic commutation to control fan speeds and torque as compared to ECM motors that follow certain set speeds. The variable speed operation provides some important advantages as follows. Firstly, it improves energy effectiveness by adjusting the air flow according to the real need in heating or cooling of the facility. In low load conditions, the speed- of the motor is also low and hence the energy-consumed is low.
