Description
The Trane VAL8988 is a Thermal Expansion Valve suitable for use in Trane HVAC systems that use the R410A refrigerant. This 3/8” inlet and 1/2” outlet valve are essential in controlling the progression of refrigerant in the system. It will be like a smart control valve that keeps the superheat temperature at 210°F in the evaporator coil. This helps to achieve the better efficiency of the system and cooling degree. This is done by accurately managing the refrigerant flow according to temperature and pressure up to 500 psi, thus avoiding evaporator coil icing and conserving the refrigerant used.
