Description
The Trane VAL9591 is a 4-Ton Thermal Expansion Valve manufactured for use with R410A refrigerant. It has 3/8 by 1/2 inch connections. The purpose of this valve is to control the refrigerant to the evaporator so that the performance of the system is being optimized and the efficiency at the same time. By trying to achieve a certain flow rate of entering refrigerant to the evaporator it helps to control the cooling capacity and to stop liquid refrigerant from entering the compressor which improves the systems efficiency. These can result in decreased energy use, optimum amounts and thereby increased equipment life.
