Description
The Trane SFCAP40D5440R is a capacitor dual purpose designed in HVAC applications. This capacitor comes in a rigid aluminium housing with a diameter of approximately 5.12mm, and designed for high operating temperatures from -40 deg C to 158 deg C It has two capacitors, a 40 microfarad run capacitor, and a 5 microfarad starting capacitor integrated into one package. There are run capacitors that supply the electrical current needed to keep the compressor motor in motion and there are start capacitors that supply a burst of power to start the motor. It is easy to install due to the quick-connect terminals and it is reliable in performance because it complies with EIA and UL standards.
