Description
The Trane VAL12092 is an essentialpart of 3.1-ton heat pumps that are the HVAC systems capable of heating and cooling a room. This nine”, valve is a four-way reversing valve (REV) for Odyssey (ODM) connections. In simple terms, it controls the circulation of the refrigerant in the system. Heat pumps need this directional change since they function in two different ways – heating and cooling. The Trane makes this process easier while at the same time ensuring the heat pump is still efficient. It is said to have a capacity of 2.81 tons but may be quite suitable for 3.1-ton systems. The valve has intake and exit dimensions of ½” and 5/8”, and maximum operating pressure.
