Description
The Trane VAL12001 is a electronic expansion valve designed for Trane HVAC system for accurate refrigerant flow management. The valve in this 15.8″ long valve has an electronic actuator that responds to inputs from the system controller. Unlike mechanical valves, the VAL12001 does not operate solely by pressure. The temperature reading is then used by the electronic actuator to adjust the valve position. This is precisely why it controls refrigerant flow to the evaporator coil precisely, while maximizing the efficiency of the cooling and preventing coil icing. The sweat connectors, size 1-5/8″ intake and 2-1/8″ output, allow installation into Trane’s ODS piping systems.
