Description
The Trane SWT0417 is a differential pressure switch used to control air pressure in heating ventilation and air conditioning systems. It operates through making or breaking an electrical circuit depending on the changes in the air pressure between the supply and return ducts. If the pressure difference is out of the set range 0.15 to 4.25 inches of water column, the switch will close or open the circuit to turn on or off the blowers, dampers, and exhaust fans. The Trane SWT0417 is usually mounted in air handling units, ductwork, and variable air volume terminals, it protects the system from high pressure drop which may decrease airflow and stress the components.
