The Honeywell HVFDSD3C2500G100A 250HP Variable Frequency Drive is an AC motor speed control for HVAC systems. Located at 480V in a NEMA 1 enclosure, it modulates the motor’s frequency and voltage and controls its output to minimize energy use based on the actual load. These VFDs are often used with large conditioning systems such as pumps, fans and air-handling equipment. Advantages include lower energy consumption, better temperature management, longer equipment life due to soft starts and lower mechanical load, and less noise with conventional motor starters.
