The Trane DHY01608 is a 1/2” Biflow Filter Drier, an essential accessory in HVAC systems, which helps to prevent moisture and contaminants in refrigeration and air conditioning equipment. It works by using a desiccant core to pull in the moisture from the refrigerant to avoid the formation of ice that hampers air flow and deforms the compressor. The filter element helps to rid the system of particulate matter including dirt and metal shavings that had been taken into the system.
