Description
The York 022-10076-000 Relief Valve is a pressure relief safety device that is used to manage pressure surges in HVAC equipment. It is a relief valve that can be used in a large number of operating conditions; it has a pressure setting of 250 PSI and the temperature range is -20°F to 250°F. This one is made from heavy brass and stainless steel and it comes with a 1/4″ FNPT connection. The primary function of the relief valve is to relieve the system pressure without the need for an operator to do so to prevent overpressure conditions that are dangerous to life or equipment. It opens when the system pressure gets to the set level to reduce pressure, ensure safe operation, and safeguard system components.
