Description
The Browning VPS-218 AH Pillow Block Bearing is a mounted bearing unit that is used to support rotating shafts in mechanical equipment and especially HVAC systems. It has a 1-1/8” shaft diameter and has a bearing that is enclosed in a cast housing for easy mounting and alignment. This is a self lubricating type of bearing used to eliminate endpoint stresses, and also provide low friction for shaft rotation against the stationary structure. In applications used in HVAC such as air handlers and fan, it offers support to blower shafts hence effective airflow. Advantages include easier installation, improvement of equipment’s maintenance associated with pre-lubrication and stable operation resulting to relatively quieter and efficient HVAC systems.
