Description
The Carrier HD46MM122 is a replacement blower motor for forced air HVAC systems. A type of electronically commutated motor, it’s an efficient and quiet operating motor. Visually, there is little difference between ECMs and traditional motors working with brush friction, but they are smoother, produce less noise, and lack brushes that create friction. This particular model is a 3/4 horsepower motor compatible with 115 volt electrical systems with dimensions of 12.5 x 12.5 x 11.5″. The motor can adjust its speed according to demand, which is variable speed functionality. In other words, it means quieter operation at lower speeds and more airflow when needed. Energy savings also come from variable speed, which reduces overall power consumption.
