Description
The Carrier HD44MQ134 Blower Motor, an Electronically Commutated Motor, with 1/2 horsepower of HVAC equipment. It is a better design than the usual motor. While normal motors have brushes that make friction, ECMs use electronic controls to control the airflow. This in turn minimizes energy use and component stress, operating at lower noise levels and possibly longer durability. These motors are used in furnaces and air handlers to distribute conditioned air in the house, These motors are 11” long, wide, and tall. It does not have a CSA listing for certain Canadian safety standards but it does run on 50/60 Hz frequencies.
