Description
The Lennox 16U10 is a Collector Box, although this unit is small, 1” x 1” x 1”, and is an essential component for Lennox HVAC systems, specifically heat pumps. This is a small box that receives and sends out refrigerant lines in a building. In cooling mode, it effectively gathers refrigerant from different areas of the heat pump system after it has picked up heat from the house. The brazed aluminum plates collect the refrigerant which is then led towards the compressor, which is charged with the task of raising the pressure of the refrigerant for improved heat transfer in the cooling phase of the cycle. The proper refrigerant flow through this critical component is maintained.
