Description
The Lennox 33F37 is a Flame Sensor, that is an essential safety device in your Lennox HVAC system. It is a compact, cylindrical shaped component with dimensions of 0.114 Inches in diameter and 0.88 Inches in length, although it is usually provided with a flange. In operation, the igniter lights the gas burner of the furnace. The flame sensor then determines the presence and quality of the flame that is produced. This essential function makes certain that the supply of gas is only on when there is a safe and steady burning flame. If the sensor does not identify a flame then it turns off the supply of gas to avoid a leakage or an explosion.
