The Daikin-McQuay 2258247 Thermistor Heat Exchanger is a temperature sensing system that is used to check the temperature conditions in heat exchanger and relay temperature values to control circuit. It operates by using a thermistor element that varies electrical resistance with temperature, and the control board can measure the temperature of the heat exchanger during operation in air-conditioning and heat pump HVAC systems. The thermistor is placed close to the surface of the heat exchanger where the sensing tip senses the change in temperature and the wiring is connected to the equipment control circuit.
