The Lennox 14Y94 Contactor is a high amperage relay that is meant for use on HVAC applications. This 3-pole contactor with 40A and 600V can control high current loads such as compressor and heater which are turned on and off. It operates in a manner similar to a switch with a low voltage coil signal operating a high voltage circuit. but also allow them thermostat and control board to give AC a higher safety. The contactor also has an auxiliary switch that is used to create another circuit for controlling the contactor such as when the main contactor is on.
