Description
The Copeland 577-0428-01 Tank-Accumulator Assembly will improve refrigerant handing and enhance the system performance of HVAC systems. Fabrication is from robust materials including steel and copper, and sweat fittings allow for secure connections. The tank-accumulator assembly performs several roles during the refrigeration cycle. Among others, it serves as a reservoir-a function of storing the refrigerant that assures a constant quantity of flow into the evaporator coil regardless of transient changes in load. It also serves as an accumulator where in liquid refrigerant is separated from the rest of the vapor, while the compressor is protected from possible damages due to liquid slugging.
