The Johnson Controls VG7842ET+423GGA Globe Valve is used in the regulation of fluids in HVAC systems as a three-way mixing valve. It has a spring return mechanism in proportion to the correct mixing of the fluids. This valve is a luminaire valve with a flow coefficient Cv of 1.8 and allows the flow rate of water or glycol solutions in HVAC applications. It is especially useful in systems that need the use of both cold and hot water to achieve the right temperature, for example, hydronic cooling and heating. The positions of the valve are controlled using a 423GGA actuator that in turn provides the necessary control signals for the mixing ratios.
