Description
The Henry Technologies S-5294 is a female sweat return oil separator with an exterior diameter of 2-1/8 inches and a thickness of 3/8 inches. It’s a component of HVAC systems used to remove oil from refrigerant lines. Compressor wear and tear can cause oil to build up in these lines, which can lower system efficiency and possibly cause premature component failure. The S-5294 separation uses centrifugal force to separate the refrigerant and oil. The refrigerant vapor is pushed into a circular motion as it passes through the separator. The clean refrigerant vapor exits the separator and travels through the system, while the heavier oil droplets separate from the refrigerant vapor and congregate at the bottom of the separator.
