Description
The Carrier 08-2600-00 One Shot Limit Switch is a safety device applied in different HVAC appliances, such as furnaces and air handlers. Under normal conditions, the switch remains in its inactive position but when a certain condition is reached, such as high temperature, the switch opens the circuit. This prevents potential damage by stopping the equipment. While with normal limit switches one can be reset automatically, this has to be reset by the system to indicate that it has been attended to before it can be reset.
