Description
The ClimateMaster 15B0001N05 Transformer is used to reduce the high voltage of 460V to a safer voltage of 24V to be used in HVAC control circuits. As a transformer, it can move energy from one circuit to another by the electromagnetic induction mechanism, but it does not come in contact with the circuits. By applying 460V to the primary winding a magnetic field is produced giving 24V current to the secondary winding. This 24V output is used to power thermostats, relays, and other low-voltage control parts of ClimateMaster HVAC products such as heat pumps and air conditioners.
