Description
The Hartland Controls CAP-40/10/440R Round Dual Motor Run Capacitor is an electrical component that is used in HVAC systems to assist with the continuous operation of the motor. It has two capacitance values of 40 by 10 MFD at 370/440V, it supplies phase-shifted energy to two windings of a motor to enhance efficiency and stable rotation in compressors, blower motors or condenser fans. The capacitor is installed in the electrical compartment of air conditioners, heat pumps and furnaces used in conjunction with contactors and relays to ensure the correct amount of torque and electrical strain is applied to the motor.
