Description
The Armstrong International D51768 Humidistat is an independent device which monitors and controls room humidity levels. It measures the humidity content of the air around it and matches it to a user-defined setpoint. When the humidity drops below the desired level, the D51768 transmits a signal to a linked humidifier that distributes moisture into the air. If the relative humidity reaches the setpoint, the D51768 notifies the humidifier to be turned off, avoiding over-humidification. In both residential and business settings, this standalone controller is frequently used in conjunction with additional HVAC equipment which includes furnaces, air handlers, and dedicated humidifiers. Maintaining appropriate humidity levels in a space has many advantages, such as improved comfort, less static electricity, and potentially even reduced energy costs for HVAC systems.
