Description
The Copeland 510-7089-00 is a base valve that is specifically created to be used in air conditioning and refrigeration systems. It has been specifically designed for chilling equipment. The body of this valve is made of either steel or aluminum, which makes it durable while its size allows it to fit various types of pipes. This valve comprises sweat connections which measure 3/8″ at one end and half an inch at the other end, thus allowing for more secure joining with copper tubes. Soldering consequently facilitates their being leak-proof permanently. Therefore, this base valve serves as a platform upon which many other HVAC facility valves depend on to function normally. By itself, however, this component does not regulate refrigerant flow. For the flow direction control on refrigerating unit systems, solenoid valves or check valves are generally mounted onto such base valve.
