The Lennox 83L61 Liquid Line Drier is an essential part of the HVAC systems that deal with R410A refrigerant. It serves as protection because it removes moisture and contaminants from the refrigerant circuit. The presence of moisture leads to icing of the system components which it affects the refrigerant flow and cooling capacity. Also, contaminants such as acids can corrode the system parts. This particular type of Lennox drier is intended for copper pipework with 3/8” solder joints. It has a diameter of 2.5”. It has compatibility of 1 ton to 2.5 ton of cooling capacity.
