The Aegis Bearing Protection Ring SGR-42-UKIT-2A4, also referred to as a double shaft grounding ring, is a component designed to protect HVAC equipment bearings from electrical damage. It achieves this by providing an effective electrical connection among the shaft and the bearing housing, prohibiting stray currents from heading into the bearings.The ring is constructed of stainless steel with a black oxide treatment that offers longevity and resistance to corrosion. Its split building permits for easy setup and detachment of shafts up to 42mm in diameter. The set of components includes two split rings, four mounting screws, and two insulating washers to complete the installation.
